World Music Day started in France in 1982, and in Uganda, it was started in 2014. And since then, it has been celebrated every year on the 21st of June.
It was my first time attending this show, but I was so taken up with what I saw, as the event attracted lovers of the arts and culture, and threw in poetry and exhibitions for good measure.

The crowd of Ugandans and expatriates was then treated to a live performance from Ykee Benda, Zex Bilangi Langi, Ebrahim Soul’o, Blac Queen, Andereya Baguma, Professor Joewi, and the innovative Black Wave Sounds, among others.
Well, the main act was Ykee Benda, who proved that old is indeed gold. He took the crowd back in time with his older songs, mixing things up with his new works. The crowd loved every bit. The event was held at Sheraton Gardens and organised by Talent Africa Group.
