This Saturday evening of June 21st, music enthusiasts and art lovers are expected to flock to the Kampala Sheraton Hotel, ready to celebrate a mesmerising journey of World Music Day, also known as Fête de la Musique.
The free concert is organised by Talent Africa Group in partnership with Alliance Française de Kampala (AFK), a non-profit organisation fostering cultural and linguistic exchanges between France and Uganda, which has for years kept the tradition of bringing music lovers in Uganda together for years now.
From traditional African beats to contemporary fusion, the stage will come to life with a diverse array of genres, each carrying its own story and cultural significance.
The stage will also be graced by Ykee Benda, Zex Bilangi Langi, soulful Ebrahim Soul’o, Blac Queen, Andereya Baguma, Professor Joewi, and Black Wave Sounds, who are set to display their musical craftsmanship through captivating performances and skill on the instrument.
World Music Day began in France in 1982 as a nationwide celebration inviting everyone to make and enjoy music in the streets, parks, and public spaces.
