Gagamel International boss Bebe Cool, born Moses Ssali, has recounted the trying moment when his daughter Beata Ssali was admitted to the ICU.

On Thursday, 29 May 2025, Bebe Cool successfully launched his highly anticipated music album, dubbed “Break The Chains,” at Noni Vie in Kampala, Uganda.

Midway through the album launch, Bebe Cool shared the challenges he faced in crafting the album, including focus sabotage due to his daughter’s ailment.

According to Bebe, he had travelled to Nigeria to actualise his album plans. Upon landing, his wife, Zuena Kirema, messaged him to notify him about their daughter’s admission to the ICU as she was experiencing organ failure.

He immediately contemplated travelling back to Uganda, but there were no flights available within the next 12 hours or 24 hours to Uganda.

I wanted to cancel this same album because I had paid all the bills to do the recordings and return to be with my daughter. Bebe stressed.

Fortunately, seven doctors arrived within an hour after he made the calls and immediately started working on Beata, organ by organ, and she recovered successfully.

As I landed, I found messages from my wife that my daughter was in the ICU and her organs were starting to fail, multiple failures. I called every single person I know at the airport, and I wanted to turn the flight back.

And then every one of those people, anybody can imagine who I called, just asked me, first of all, they told me there was no flight in the next 12 hours or 24 hours coming to Uganda. I knew the general was within Nigeria, but the flight was not available. I wanted to cancel this same album because I had paid all the bills to do the recordings and return to be with my daughter.

But luckily enough, seven doctors arrived within an hour after the calls I made. And then they started working on her organ by organ. And here is the little beautiful girl.
