Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, officially confirmed his attendance at Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s upcoming concert as the Chief Guest.
The highly anticipated event is slated for August 8th at the prestigious Kampala Serena Hotel and will mark two decades of Bugembe’s transformative journey in gospel music.
The confirmation came during a recent public appearance where Pastor Bugembe personally extended the invitation to the Katikkiro.
In a touching exchange that resonated with the audience, Mayiga accepted the invitation, commending Bugembe for his commitment to both music and ministry.
“This is not just a celebration of music, but a celebration of impact, of a voice that has uplifted souls and united communities,” the Katikkiro shared. His presence is expected to draw significant attention and lend a seal of cultural endorsement to the milestone event.
Pastor Bugembe, revered as one of Uganda’s most influential gospel artists, rose from humble beginnings to become a household name with songs like Komawo Eka, Ani, and Lengera Embaata.
Beyond the charts, his ministry at Worship House in Nansana has touched lives across the nation, blending faith with heartfelt storytelling and social outreach.
The 20th anniversary concert is not only a celebration of music but also a tribute to Bugembe’s spiritual resilience and artistic evolution.
