Veteran reggae icon Madoxx Sematimba has advised fellow musician Bebe Cool to consider stepping away from active performance and instead focus on leadership roles within the music industry.
Speaking candidly, the Namagembe hitmaker urged the Love You Everyday singer to channel his efforts into industry mentorship and management, areas where he believes Bebe Cool’s vast experience could have a greater impact.
“If Bebe Cool could go back to school and study how people run and manage music empires, he would become so huge,” Madoxx said.
He added that Bebe Cool’s appeal has waned over the years, and it might be time for him to transition into a more strategic and supportive role behind the scenes.
“Bebe Cool isn’t breaking any chain. He’s an already established artist — if anything, he’s just linking those chains,” Madoxx remarked, suggesting that the singer’s recent music no longer resonates with audiences as strongly as it once did.
Madoxx believes Bebe Cool could thrive as a music executive or mentor, using his connections and legacy to shape the next generation of Ugandan musicians.
