Kansai Plascon Uganda has officially launched the 14th edition of its flagship consumer promotion, Paint and Win, under the theme “The Colours of Excitement.” The campaign, which will run for 10 weeks from October 1 to December 11, 2025, was unveiled at the Plascon Head Offices on 2nd Street, Industrial Area, Kampala, in the presence of company officials, dealers, media, and guests.

For over a decade, Paint and Win has been synonymous with rewarding customer loyalty, boosting dealer engagement, and reinforcing Plascon’s leadership in the paint industry. This year’s Colours of Excitement edition promises to live up to that tradition by giving customers the chance to win daily and weekly prizes while enjoying the vibrant and diverse range of Plascon paints. Every purchase of paint worth UGX 100,000 or more earns customers a scratch card that enters them into a draw for prizes ranging from instant rewards like airtime and branded merchandise to bigger wins such as cash, motorbikes, and tricycles.

Speaking at the launch, Kansai Plascon Uganda Managing Director, Santosh Gumte, made clear the company’s commitment to giving back to its loyal customers and communities. “Paint and Win has always been our way of celebrating the loyalty of our customers while sharing the excitement that comes with the Plascon brand. This year’s Colours of Excitement edition is about spreading joy and rewarding the people who continue to make us the market leader with a 70% share. Every tin of Plascon paint is not just colour on a wall, it is happiness, vibrancy, and inspiration, and through this campaign, we want to multiply that excitement in every home and community.”

Six lucky customers will win UGX 1,000,000 each day from Monday to Saturday, with weekly televised draws on TV giving them a chance to take home a share of UGX 3 million or ride away on a brand-new motorbike and cash for fuel worth UGX 100,000. At the halfway point of the promotion and at the end of the campaign, winners will also stand a chance to drive away in a fully registered tricycle (tuk-tuk). In addition, an activation team will travel to nine towns across Uganda, where 10 lucky contestants will be chosen to win a brand-new motorbike, together with a rider’s protective helmet and fuel or a cash equivalent of UGX 100,000 shillings, further extending the excitement to communities nationwide.

Highlighting the CSR aspect of the campaign, Mr. Gumte noted that this year Plascon is scaling up its community impact by refurbishing around five schools and five health centres that will be selected during the course of the promotion. “As we celebrate 14 years of Paint and Win, we are mindful that our biggest win is the positive change we leave behind. Education and healthcare are the pillars of national development. By refurbishing schools, we are inspiring young learners in colourful, vibrant environments, and by refurbishing health centres, we are creating uplifting, welcoming spaces for patients and health workers. This is how we bring the Colours of Excitement beyond prizes, by giving colour, comfort, and hope to communities that need it most.”

Plascon Head of Sales, Moses Kato, added that the campaign is designed to strengthen the bond with both customers and dealers. “Paint and Win has been at the heart of our engagement strategy, and each year we strive to make it more exciting, more rewarding, and more impactful. The Colours of Excitement edition is about rewarding loyalty, growing together with our customers, and ensuring that everyone who interacts with the Plascon brand experiences joy, colour, and value.”

The 14th edition of Paint and Win builds on the strong legacy of the past 13 editions, backing up Plascon’s leadership in the Ugandan paint industry and demonstrating the company’s lasting commitment to enriching lives through colour, innovation, and community investment.
