Delivering the President’s message, Speaker Among praised Omukama Oyo’s three decades of visionary leadership, noting that his reign has not only preserved Tooro’s heritage but also actively contributed to Uganda’s social and economic progress.
“Our cultural institutions are pillars of identity and engines of progress. Omukama Oyo’s leadership has safeguarded Tooro’s heritage while nurturing a partnership with government that secures peace, stability, and shared prosperity,” President Museveni’s message read.

She further acknowledged Tooro Kingdom’s role in supporting government programmes in education, health, and youth empowerment, stressing that cultural institutions remain vital drivers of development, not relics of the past.
At the Karuzika Royal Palace, Speaker Among joined Omukama Oyo and Queen Mother Best Kemigisa in a moment that highlighted the synergy between state leadership and cultural heritage. Her presence added weight to the national conversation about the role of traditional institutions in shaping Uganda’s future.
The anniversary has unfolded over four days of festivities, running from 10th to 13th September 2025, curated by Talent Africa Group with strong backing from Pepsi, Capital Radio, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), and Pilsner Lager. Together, they have transformed the commemoration into a vibrant showcase of music, dance, tradition, and unity.

The celebrations will climax with a star-studded concert, headlined by Cindy Sanyu—who also serves as Pilsner Lager Brand Ambassador—alongside performers such as Atwooki Richie, Irene Hinda, Muzamiru, Big Doug, Zaya Rossette, DJ Hash, and MC Droppa. This cultural grand finale promises to fuse heritage with entertainment, leaving an impact that stretches beyond Tooro.
Ultimately, the 30th Coronation Anniversary has become more than a kingdom celebration. It has served as a national reflection on leadership, heritage, and unity—with President Museveni’s message, delivered by Speaker Among, reaffirming the enduring strength of Uganda’s cultural institutions in shaping a shared destiny.
